Ecology vocab reference siteDay 1: Living SystemsIntroducing........LIVING SYSTEMS! We will be covering the biosphere, biomes, ecosystems, communities, and populations.
Day 3: Food Chains, Food Webs, and Energy Transferred!Remember: The First Law of Thermodynamics states that ENERGY CANNOT be created nor destroyed, it can only be TRANSFERRED/TRANSFORMED.
Food Web Poster and Chain Activity
Day 4: The Carbon/Oxygen Cycle and Finishing Food WebsCarbon cycleThe Carbon/Oxygen CyclePlants take in CO2, and through respiration and the uptake of water molecules, give off O2 and H2O. Humans and other organisms take in O2 and give off CO2 and H20. Don't forget about the decomposers! They decompose organic matter into usable forms and also over time into usable forms for humans like fossil fuels.
